Slovakia
Slovakia is a republic in Central Europe. It has no sea outlet and borders the Czech Republic to the northwest, Poland to the north, Ukraine to the east, Hungary to the south, and Austria to the southwest.
Slovakia is an industrial-agrarian country with rich deposits of minerals (coal - brown, lignite), ores (copper, lead, iron) and solid fuels. The most developed are the chemical industry, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, textile industry (one of the traditional branches of the country), the food industry. The major industrial centers are Bratislava and Kosice. Agriculture and animal husbandry are well represented. Cereals, legumes, vegetables and fruits (apples, pears, apricots, nuts, vineyards) are grown. Sheep, cattle, pigs and horses are bred.
