What is air freight?
The freight is a fee or the value of the transport of goods by different types of transport, which is paid to the carrier, and the amount is determined in the contract. Air freight is the value of air transport and is calculated on the basis of charged weight. The accepted currency is the Euro and is usually offered without VAT (for EU countries, and for all others no VAT is charged).
Charged weight. The charged weight is the basis for calculating the air freight and fees at some of the carriers. The charged weight can be within the set minimum for the company or it is gross or volumetric weight of the cargo, depending on which is higher. The charged weight of the cargo is the basis for calculating all agency fees, as well as for some airlines the basis for calculating the fuel and security fee.
Gross weight is the total weight of goods with all their packaging, excluding containers and other transport equipment. Roundings are made as follows: gross weight 154.4 kg. = 154.5 kg., Or gross weight 178.6 kg. = 179 kg.
Volume weight. Provided that the volume / weight ratio does not exceed 6000 cc / kg per gross weight, the freight shall be invoiced on the basis of the gross weight. If the ratio is higher, the shipment is arified by the so-called volume weight. The formula for calculating bulk density in bulk kilograms is:

Tariff - "domestic", international. Basic price information based on tariff kg or tariff pound includes only air freight without additional fees. The quoted prices are USD, EUR or the national currency of the airline. National air transport is carried out on the so-called. "Domestic" fares, and cross-border services apply international, in accordance with one of the four concepts of air transport - common applicable in accordance with TASS, European, express, tariff publications of air freight forwarders - consolidators.
For example: European tariff concept "B" base price = basic fee; "K" - tariff = price for transportation per kg.
Delivery conditions. The terms of delivery determine the parameters of the value of the goods, as well as the obligations of the seller and the buyer to pay the transport costs - / freight and agency fees /.
Additional carrier fees. Fuel charge, security charge and other carrier charges due for carriage. They are calculated on the basis of gross or charged weight of the cargo.
Agency fees at the departure destination. Pick-up from address, terminal fees, handling, issuing labels, reservations, issuing bills of lading, notifying the customer, preparing proof of delivery, sending original documents to the consignor, customs representation, etc.

- The remoteness of the final destination from our country does not affect the formation of the price, nor the number of transfer points. Prices in air transport are determined on the basis of cargo flow from the respective country to the receiving destination.
- The price per kg. decreases with increasing weight of the load, but it can not be below the minimum set for each continent. Usually, the minimum price is valid for shipments from 1 to 20 kg. including.
