A little review
A little review. What we learned in 2025 and what awaits forwarders in 2026.
2025 is coming to an end, and it was anything but predictable. At one point, fuel prices are rising, at another — the market is shrinking, borders are closing, and customers are expecting increasingly fast and secure deliveries.
As a forwarding company, we have experienced a year filled with changes, lessons, and decisions that sometimes had to be made on the spot. But if one thing is clear, it is this: forwarding is no longer just transportation — it is strategy, adaptation, and partnership.
Digitalization is no longer the future, but the present. For years, technologies were perceived as an addition in logistics in our country. However, in 2025, we saw how important it is to have a good system for communication, tracking, and managing shipments. Customers expect accurate and absolutely correct information, and the competition is just an email away. We take our steps forward every year – sometimes small, sometimes bigger, we did them this year too – it wasn’t a huge investment, but it saved time, mistakes, nerves and money. The truth is that digitalization is no longer a luxury. It is part of everyday life, which distinguishes modern freight forwarders from the rest.
Sustainability – from requirement to opportunity. The topic of “green logistics” has sounded distant for many Bulgarian companies in recent years. But 2025 clearly showed that this will not remain so. European customers are increasingly demanding a report on the carbon footprint of shipments, and large chains are insisting on more environmentally friendly solutions.
We cannot change the world, but if we look at it practically – better planning, combined loads, fewer empty runs definitely have their benefits. This not only reduces emissions, but also costs. Sustainability is not a fashion, but economic logic.
People are the heart of every freight forwarding company. In 2025, something else became clear – people are gold. A good freight forwarder, international driver or customs specialist is now harder to find than a new client. And that is why we are increasingly realizing that people are our most valuable resource. Technology helps, but trust, experience and human relations remain what clients value most.
When a client chooses us, they are not just looking for transport – they are looking for peace of mind that we will find a solution even in the most complex situation. The client wants not just an offer, but a partner who thinks with them – who will offer an option, react to a problem and be committed to the result. This will definitely remain in our mission in 2026. Flexibility, quick response and willingness to find a solution, even in the most difficult situation, are what our clients value the most. This is precisely where our competitive advantage over larger corporations lies – we know the market, the roads and the people.
Based on our small assessment and looking ahead - 2026 will require more clarity and predictability. We know that it will not get easier - the market will rearrange, and the pressure for efficiency and transparency will grow. But we also believe that right now is the time to strengthen ourselves - through better organization and development of long-term partnerships.
Our industry has always been dynamic, but never so demanding.
And if 2025 is a year of adaptation, then 2026 will be the year of conscious development - a time to apply what we have learned and move forward with confidence. We believe that the future of freight forwarding in Bulgaria depends not on scale, but on attitude. Technologies, systems and processes are important, but what will preserve trust between partners is the human factor - the willingness to think and act as part of the common customer journey. 2026 will set new requirements. But for those who adapt and continue to evolve, it will also bring new opportunities. Every small change today brings us closer to a stronger business tomorrow and will distinguish those who look ahead, not just survive day by day.
